Find the grave room
Enter Floor 3 and explore the maze for the room containing eight gravestones and a central coffin. The layout varies, so a fixed sequence of turns is unreliable.

Read the stones
Use the nearby poem as your clue. For every symbol, record the birth and death years. The Hollow Floor 3 gravestone puzzle compares lifespans, not birth years alone.

Find the shortest lives
Subtract birth year from death year for each stone. Rank all eight ages from lowest to highest. The symbols for the first three ages form your code.

Open the Grave Lock
Set slots I, II and III to those symbols, youngest first, and press Open. Collect the Third Night Relic from the coffin, then return to the elevator while avoiding the Biter.

Frequently asked questions
Is there a fixed The Hollow Floor 3 code?
No universal code is reported. The years change between runs, so copy all eight pairs from the gravestones you are looking at now. The example button is only a demonstration.
Which order do the three symbols go in?
Youngest first, then second youngest, then third youngest. Put the symbols into slots I, II and III in that order, then press Open.
What if two gravestones have the same age?
Recheck the symbol and both years. We have not verified an in-game tie-breaking rule. If a tie affects the first three positions, this solver shows the calculations without inventing a unique code.
Why is the coffin still locked?
Check for a mistyped year, swapped birth and death years, or a symbol matched to the wrong stone. Enter all eight stones from the same run and make sure the three chosen symbols are in ascending age order.
